ABOUT MELicensed Clinical Social Worker

  • EDUCATION
  • PRACTICE

In 2017 I gained my bachelors degree at the University of South Florida in Behavioral Healthcare with a concentration on children. I expanded my education in 2020 by completing my Masters in Social Work at Arizona State University. I then passed the Florida Board of Mental Health for my LCSW exam in 2021 becoming a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Florida. In 2023, I completed a three day training to become certified Accelerated Resolution Therapist.

I first started my passion for working with children as a professional nanny for over 20 years. It gave me culture awareness and provided me with years of implimenting behavior modification skills. I then began my feild work in therapy working with children at a foster care facility for over 6 months. Later on I had the privilege of  expanding my knowledge in working with adults at a psychiatric hospital for a year assiting those with severe mental illnesses and addiction.  From there I worked for two years at an addiction rehabilitation center where I provided counseling services for adults, facilitated group therapy, and was the lead director for the adolescents addiction department. Today, I am thrilled to be opening up my therapeutic focus to adolescents, adults, families, and couples.

Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside: dreams. Who looks inside: awakens.

MY MISSIONFinding Life Balance

Balance is not a destination, but a constant journey. You might feel out of balance from time to time, and that’s okay.

Don’t approach it with a perfectionist mentality; accept the good enough. Expectations make us lose balance. High-wire artists make progress one step at a time. That’s why they don’t fall — they don’t worry about perfect; they only focus on moving forward. Staying present, in the moment, one step at a time reduces feelings of being overwhelemed. Let’s break things down to make it more attainable and achievable.
