Advantages of Self-Pay
Services are decided upon by us, as opposed to the insurance companies. Oftentimes, insurance companies place restrictions on the frequency of sessions and length of treatment. However, these pre-determinations are often not in your best interests. I work with you to ensure that services are matched to your needs and terminated at a time that is agreed upon together.

Your mental health treatment is not shared with your insurance provider, thus becoming a part of your medical record. As part of your medical record, a mental health diagnosis and history of mental health treatment may impact eligibility for future medical and/or life insurance coverage.
What can I expect from an evaluation?
Evaluations include an initial consultation, review of relevant records, observations, and rating scaled assessments to provide information on the severity of your symptoms utilizing a rating scale. Included with every evaluation is a written report with recommendations and a feedback session.
What can I expect from counseling?
I will meet with you for an initial intake session to gather detailed information about your concerns. After this initial session, goals for treatment are developed together. At this time, we will agree upon the session frequency and estimated duration of treatment. Data are collected before, during, and after treatment to monitor your progress and ensure that you are benefiting from counseling. Based on the data that are collected, adjustments are made to treatment as needed. Counseling sessions are terminated once you have reached your treatment goals.
What ages do you treat?
I provide services for adolescents ages 12 years old and up to adults due to providing telehealth sessions. Clients who are younger tend to not do well with telehealth therapy due to the lack of tactile play and interactions along with the numerous distractions from home.
How Long Will Treatment Last?
All therapy is individualed. This means that everyone is on their own journey due to their needs which can impact duration of therapy.
Do You Provide In-Person & Virtual Sessions?
At this time, I am only providing virtual sessions for clients Tuesdays - Fridays and reserving my in-person sessions for Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) sessions only. ART is completed in office only on Mondays.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
